The Who, What, When, Where, and Why of AppStack

We know mobile marketing might be new for some of you, so we thought we’d give you a cheat sheet to reference with some of the most frequently asked questions that we get… just in case.

  1. How does AppStack work?

AppStack instantly builds you a mobile web app with nothing more than your business phone number. It’s as simple as that. Ok, maybe it’s not that simple, but the purpose of AppStack is to make it seem that simple. We do all of the work on our end (coding, developing, other nerdy stuff) so you don’t have to worry about it. Once your app is built, thanks to our friends over at Google, we also offer you mobile advertising to help bring in new customers and really grow your business.

  1. What’s the big deal about mobile?

There are over 1 billion smartphones in use these days and of those people searching on their phones, 27% are using their phones to perform local searches. What does this have to do with you? Basically, by not having a mobile app you’re missing out on potential customers looking for local businesses in your area. On top of that, people performing local searches on their phones are much more likely to actually convert into a customer as it’s been shown that people searching on their phones are searching because they are ready to commit and make a purchase at that moment.

  1. When does my free trial start?

Your free trial starts the day you sign-up and lasts for 30 days.

  1. How do people find my app?

As soon as you sign-up, your mobile web app goes live. We also instantly create your AdWords keywords and campaigns, but these have to be approved by Google before they go live. This may take a day or two. Once Google approves your campaign, a customer can then find your app by typing in keywords that relate to your business into Google search.

  1. Why can’t I see myself on google?

If you’re searching for your app immediately after signing up, give it a day or two in order for your campaign to go live.

If you can’t see yourself on Google mid-month, the likely cause is that you have reached your advertising spend limit of $50 for the month. But don’t worry, this is a good thing. This means that lots of people are clicking on your ad.  Once you’ve reached your advertising spend, your campaigns are put on pause until your next billing cycle at which time your account will be replenished with $50 more.

  1. Can I spend more money on advertising?

Of course you can! We leave it up to you to determine how much you feel comfortable spending on advertising your business. Your trial starts with a limit of $50, but take it from us, if it’s working, why not increase spend and make the most of your advertising dollars. Contact your Account Manager to increase your advertising budget.

  1. How many keywords can I have?

There is a maximum of 15 keywords per account. Once we’ve created your keywords, your Google Ad will go live within 1-4 days.

  1. How do I know if people are seeing me?

Here at AppStack, we make it easy to see just how well your mobile advertising and app are working. Talk to your account manager and they’d be happy to walk you through your account analytics and translate what all the tech mumbo-jumbo means.

  1. What are the size limits for photos?

900x900 pixels.

  1. Are there different skins for my app?

AppStack has over fifty professionally designed apps to choose from for a variety of verticals. Simply choose the category that your business best fits and browse our selection of customizable apps. Once you create your app, it is not possible to change your design, but you can always create a separate app with a different design and compare the performance of the two and choose the one that best suits your business image.
